ComicBookLover 1.3 (build 810) is now available for you to download.

Changes:

  • Fixed a bug where sometimes certain months were not selectable in the date picker widget when trying to set the publication date.
  • Improved handling of CBZ archives by supporting old PKZip archives.
  • KRM updated to 1.0.7.

The last few updates have seen problems with the selecting of a publication date. Thanks to everybody who contacted me about it. It seems the standard Cocoa widget NSDatePicker is a bit buggy. If you set a timezone on it, say UTC, certain combinations of months and years can’t be selected, such as October 2007 (which flips to November 2007 immediately). Strange, but true!

Hi,Tried this and it’s brilliant. Fantastic work and true mac quality. Here are some features I’d like to see in order of preference:1. When I open a comic (cbz or cbr) from Finder, not to have it automatically added to the library – I’d like to be able to preview comics before moving them to the file store, renaming them etc. and it’s annoying having lots of dead entries in the library.2. Related to above, have the ability to rename and move the comic file to a new location. Currently you need to move the file in finder, then open it in CBL and find it again.3. Have the manually entered person data be remembered like the series and category field.4. Be able to edit the internal lists: category, persons, series, etc., including credit categories if possible.5. Import data from online sources would be great, or from desktop comic databases.6. Be able to add links to series and credit persons so they underline and a click takes you to a online database such a BDG’est for that series or author.7. Be able to add any metadata or credit to library list columns, not writer and artist.Thank you and keep up the amazing work.

Hi..Also another suggestion is a easy way to clear the library of entires as it seems to chug when you try to highlight them all and remove them (this would be handy on a laptop where you constantly change the set of comics on the machine)CheersMatt

Is there any guesstimate as to when a v1.4 and a listing of the enhancements will be released?

How about a quicklook plugin, to view covers in finder?
