ComicBookLover : Upgrading to Leopard

If you are upgrading your computer from Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger) to 10.5 (Leopard), the upgrade should be seamless.

If you are doing a clean install of Leopard (i.e. wiping the hard drive first) or you want to back-up your ComicBookLover data before upgrading, you should back up the following folders and files:

  • /Applications/ComicBookLover.app
  • HOME/Library/Application Support/ComicBookLover
  • HOME/Library/Preferences/com.bitcartel.comicbooklover.plist

Once Leopard has been installed, simply copy the files to their original location.

As always, if you have any questions, e-mail support@comicbooklover.com.

I’m not entirely sure how compatible ComicBookLover is with leopard but I can’t change multiple comic’s information at the same time. I can’t select all and say, change the series but if I do it one by one it’ll work fine

There are a few teething issues, and these are being looked at. Overall, the software functions fine and is definitely usable on Leopard. If you come across any other issues, email support@comicbooklover.com. Thanks.

  3. Flemming says:

I hope the next version will support high resolution icons (512×512) that can be used in leopard. The current icons look really bad when you browse them in coverflow – the same goes for the icons/covers inside CBL itself. They look like low compressed jpgs to me right now.

  4. Simon says:

Yes, will be adding an option to create high resolution icons.
